Fresno Interfaith Climate Alliance

“If we each offer the best of our respective traditions, we may yet see a way through our difficulties.” – Islamic Declaration on Global Climate Change

The Fresno Interfaith Climate Alliance (FICA) is an interfaith group that welcomes people of all faiths, pursuing spiritually-rooted climate action in Fresno and beyond, working to save our planet for future generations, through joint and congregational activities.

FICA meets on the 3rd Thursdays of the month, 12:30pm – 2:00pm, please email Akiko Miyake-Stoner (akiko@ujcclife.com) for more details.

2025 Earth Day Event

2023 Kick-Off

Their kick-off in 2023 was a hit! The Inaugural Interfaith Climate Summit included keynote speaker Ron Goode, a North Fork Mono Tribal Chairman, who was featured in a PBS documentary on indigenous, spiritually-based forest management. Goode and other local and state leaders offered workshops in support of faith-based individual and group climate action. Student and young adult activists from Fresno Pacific University and Fresno State helped to coordinate the event and ensured it ran smoothly.
