Orange County’s First Solar Night – Overview

January 12, 2012 by admin

Orange County’s first faith Solar Night on February 9 was a success! Some 40 people from 12 different congregations were on hand to hear from solar and energy efficiency experts on ways to reduce carbon emissions and save money in their facility or home.

The evening started off with CIPL Southern California Outreach Director, Allis Druffel, giving and overview of CIPL’s Solar Resource Guide, which contains general information about solar energy, financing, and several testimonials of solar congregations.

For the energy efficiency portion of the evening, Joy Cernac of Energy Upgrade California gave a short report on the great rebates and incentives now available to home owners. Troy Nguyen from So Cal Edison gave information on rebates and incentives. Solar experts included: Eric Presley from SolarCity, Hans Rosenberger from Altadena Solar, and Veronica Zerman from Moore Solar. They gave an overview of each of their companies and answered questions from the assembled.

If YOU have questions for any of these clean energy experts, drop them an email and let them know CIPL sent you.
